Chief Executive for Atiwa, Emmanuel Atta Twum said the Town and Country
Planning Department at the district is preparing data for the
implementation of the street naming exercise.
According to him, the department has already finished compiling data base for Kwabeng, Englesi, and will continue with Anyinam and other towns. According to him, but for lack of money, the assembly would have implemented the street naming exercise, adding that the project is externally funded and as soon as funds are released the assembly would get into actual implementation of the exercise.
Mr. Twum noted that the actualization of the street naming exercise would significantly improve identification of areas especially in combating crime, disaster management and will also help in improving revenue generation.
